Garden set for 6 or 9 persons

A standard set consists of 3 benches and 1 table.
The table for 6 is 1.6 metres wide.
The table for 9 is 2 metres wide.

Material steel frame

You could opt for thermally galvanised steel or stainless steel for your table and bench frames. Both steel varieties require minimal maintenance.

Material tabletop and seat

You can choose from two materials, douglas wood or concrete, for the tabletop and bench seats. All concrete parts are cast in one batch to prevent a difference in colour. Douglas will discolour in due course.

Attention: the choice of material will affect the cost of the backrests.

If you want, the tabletop can be fitted with an opening at the centre for a parasol (ø 5 cm). Other diameters, e.g. for a tree (max. ø 20 cm), are available on request.

Number of backrests

The backrests are supplied in the same materials as the bench and can be placed across the full width of the bench. The seat of the bench will be adjusted for this. We therefore ask you to indicate the number of backrests per bench.

1. The triangle-shaped table has 3 legs, and therefore it will always be stable.

2. Per bench, 0, 1, or 2 back rests can be provided. These back rests are slidable. The bench seats have to be adapted for this, therefore you need to indicate per bench how many back rests you would like to have.

3. The concrete tables and benches are relatively heavy and therefore may be hard to move around.

4. The concrete tabletop and seats can be cleaned with regular cleaning solutions.

5. The sparx garden set is a completely Dutch product.

SPARX uses thermally galvanised steel or stainless steel for the garden sets. Both materials are incredibly strong and durable but quite different in appearance.

Thermally galvanised steel

Thermally galvanised steel is steel that has been immersed in a bath containing molten zinc. Once the steel is immersed the iron reacts with the molten zinc resulting in a protective layer against corrosion (rust). When compared to stainless steel, the surface of thermally galvanised steel feels a bit rougher and has a more dull appearance.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is an alloy of mainly iron, chrome, nickel and carbon. The carbon percentage must be, at least, 11 to 12% before the steel can be classified as stainless steel. Many types of stainless steel could also contain the elements molybdenum, titanium, manganese, nitrogen and silicone.

The stainless steel SPARX garden set is made of 304 steel, kgw Finish 28 (chrome nickel steel), which is the most common application.

SPARX uses douglas or concrete for the tabletops and bench seats which are intriguing materials each with a totally different look.

The untreated douglas wood is 2 cm thick.

Concrete

The light grey concrete tabletops, seats and armrests are 3 cm thick and are made by hand. The special polymer concrete is cast in all moulds simultaneously, reducing any differences in colour to an absolute minimum. Your concrete and metal garden set hardly requires any maintenance and will withstand all sorts of weather.
